Shine Hope This New Year
As we welcome the promise of a New Year, we pause with gratitude for the compassion and generosity you’ve shared with animals, people, and our planet. Together, you’ve brought hope where there was hardship, comfort where there was fear, and light into places shadowed by uncertainty. Your support reminds us that even in the darkest moments, kindness can shine brightly and change lives.
In 2025, your gifts helped sustain critical efforts—none more urgent than supporting animals affected by the conflict in Ukraine through our Ukraine Rescue, Relief & Rebuild Consortium.
Now, as winter settles in and many seek safety and warmth, we invite you to bring light to more lives in need. At the Barbos Shelter in Uzhhorod, Ukraine, animals who have known little but hardship are waiting for a chance at security and care. We are excited to share our new initiative to build permanent shelter kennels for 100 animals at the Barbos Shelter, providing them with not just temporary refuge, but a safe and dry temporary home. Each kennel will house 2 to 3 animals and cost $833. Contributions received will be sent immediately to shelter in response to the winter conditions. Every donation brings us closer to lighting hope for these vulnerable animals.

Ewaso Lions: The Power of Community-Led Conservation
Ewaso Lions is a community-driven conservation initiative in northern Kenya that has helped transform local attitudes toward coexistence with lions, growing the lion population from just 11 in 2007 to more than 60 today by empowering warriors, women, and youth to protect wildlife.
