While investment in alternative proteins and calls to eat less meat have grown over the last several years, the consumption of animal products continues to rise, buoyed by its cheaper cost (in part, due to lax environmental regulation of factory farms). But, as with solar, we will see the price of alternative proteins drop as sales volume rises.
