Karuna for Corona: Feeding the Homeless Dogs

The Indian government's lockdown in response to the global Covid-19 pandemic, starting on March 24, resulted in a significant hardship for its people and also for its street dogs who relied on leftover food from eateries and food put out by good Samaritans. The government recognized the need and declared feeding the dogs essential and many animal organizations stepped up, including Blue Cross of India, and ramped up their emergency feeding operation.
