Tales of WellBeing – Issue 2, March 2019
When we chose WellBeing International as the name of our new NGO, we had little idea of the extent of the international interest in measuring happiness and well-being across the globe, but we are learning fast. This issue of “Tales” brings another story (this time focused on a person) from our partner, AHPPA, in Costa Rica. But it also features a story on the United Nation’s International Day of Happiness, now celebrated on March 20th every year with the release of a Global Happiness Report. I would also like to draw attention to an earlier Blog by Professor Alan Kazdin of Yale University who, after a long and illustrious academic career,is now focusing on improving human mental health. The Blog notes the importance of human-animal connections in bringing well-being and purpose to people’s lives.

The 2018 World Happiness Report

The report is produced by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network which is also involved in producing the Global Happiness and Well-being Policy Report (the second edition of which was issued last month).
