The Asociación Humanitaria para la Protección Animal (AHPPA) was formed in 1991 and is now the largest shelter in Costa Rica providing animal rescue, veterinary care and humane education to communities in the San Jose valley and extending to both coasts. WellBeing International will be working with AHPPA to improve the well-being of animals and people in Costa Rica.

Greyton Farm Animal Sanctuary (GFAS) has been established to provide a home for rescued farm animals but also to support and engage in land protection and humane and environmental education. Save the Dogs (& Other Animals)

Save the Dogs & Other Animals is Romania’s leading animal welfare organization. The organization was founded in 2002 to promote a culture in Romania where people recognize the importance of animal welfare in their communities and where the inhumane killing of stray dogs stops. Save the Dogs provides free sterilization and treatment for animals living in the streets and living as free-roaming members of their communities.

The Street Dog Coalition

The Street Dog Coalition provides free medical care and related services to pets of people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. Using a ‘One Health’ approach to street medicine, SDC cares for the lives on both ends of the leash, involving a team of volunteer veterinarians, vet-techs, social workers, doctors, dentists, allies and advocates. SDC’s has expanded its services to more than 50 cities across the United States.
Tigers in America®

Tigers in America®

Tigers in America (TIA), an all-volunteer organization, started by rescuing captive tigers from abusive and vulnerable situations in America but has since expanded its operations globally. TIA ensures every tiger receives lifetime care from discovery to sanctuary in a safe, forever home. Founded in 2011, with a specific focus on captive tigers in the United States, TIA expanded its efforts to include all big cats in 2017 and bears and wolves in 2020. In 2021, TIA began work in Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.
